MICHAEL ADAMS

On Saturday, July 11, Michael Adams, local Milam County land owner and owner of Battleroad USA Gun Range just out of Buckholts, was killed in a one-vehicle accident just outside of Rogers. The accident is still under investigation. Mr. Adams was born and raised in Houston. He served in the United States Army as a LRRP Scout. Mr. Adams was a Master Instructor in the nationwide Appleseed Project and was instrumental in assistingthose who serve our country overseas, returning with physical limitations in learning and continuing their goals of marksmanship and competitive shooting. His range hosted many events including the twice-yearly Zombie Run shooting classic which brought in people from all over the country to compete. He taught marksmanship skills, survival skills, and Texas history. He also trained law enforcement officers from all over the state at Battleroad USA. He was a regular host of the Rifleman Radio show in the Appleseed Radio Network for the past nine years. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca and five daughters, Kathleen, Madeline, Caroline, Memory and Sophia. A GoFundMe account has been setup to assist in their college scholarship.
