Other areas of Central Texas were not so lucky as hundreds were evacuated from their homes in Bastrop County, Hays County and Travis County. At least six flood-related deaths were reported. River flooding was predicted early Saturday as rains stopped across the area, but rivers continued to swell from run off. Major highways were closed, in addition to county and local arteries. Also hard hit were the San Antonio, Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth areas.
