William Franklin Goolsby

William Franklin Goolsby, 84, of Cameron, died Monday, Dec. 7, at his home. 
Graveside funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Marlow Cemetery. Family visitation will be Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home.
Mr. Goolsby, a retired shop manager, was born Nov. 19, 1931 in Centerville to William Franklin and Leola (Manning) Goolsby.  He married Johna Brasher and she preceded him in death in 2004. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. 
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Laurie Guettler. 
He is survived by sons Charles Goolsby of Bayou Vista and Ryan Goolsby of Marquez; daughters Ronda Janes of Brazoria, Debra Guettler of Cameron and Kennetha Mueck of Rockdale; brothers Charles Mobley of Bynum, Bud Patterson of Dallas and Neal Whitehead, Jr. of Dallas; sisters Bonnie Goolsby Szepessy of Corpus Christi and Frances Evans of Jewett; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
