Ellen Bailey

Ellen Bailey, 87, of Cameron, died Dec. 25 at her home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery. Family visitation will be Tuesday December 29 from Noon until service time.
Mrs. Bailey, a retired registered nurse, was born Aug. 28, 1928 in Deanville to John Benjamin and Ella (Blinka) Luedke. She graduated from Caldwell High School and then attended a three-year nursing program at the University of Houston.
She married Ben Hardie Bailey in 1951 and he preceded her in death in 2009.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, L J Luedke. She is survived by sons Jim Bailey and wife Carolyn of Cameron and John Bailey and wife Wendy of Corinth; brothers Alton Luedke and wife Alice of Sinton and Delmas Luedke and wife Bobbie of Kent, Washington; and sisters Vernell Kuehn of Caldwell and Maxine Lueke of Seguin; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
