Virginia Yglecias

Virginia Yglecias, 75, of Cameron died Thursday, Jan. 21 in Temple.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Monica’s Catholic Church with Rev. Dimitrij Colankin officiating. Entombment will follow in the St. Monica’s Mausoleum.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 until 8 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m. at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Yglecias was born to Clemente and Felipa Garcia. She married Jesus Yglecias and he preceded her in death in 1988. She had worked as a house keeper and worked for St. Monica’s Church for more than 20 years serving in many capacities. She was a member of St. Monica’s Church and of our Lady of Guadalupe.
She is survived by daughters, Violanda Griffin and husband Charles and Linda Carrasco, both of Cameron; brother, Pete Garcia of Pleasanton; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
