Dr. Raymond V. Lesikar

Dr. Raymond V. Lesikar, 93, of Cedar Park and formerly of Cameron died Thursday, Jan. 28 in a Round Rock hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, at Oak Hill Pavilion in Cameron.
Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
Dr. Lesikar was born June 29, 1922 in Milam County to Vincent and Albina (Stanislaw) Lesikar. He was a graduate of C.H. Yoe High School and then attended UT-Austin where he earned his B.B.A. degree, then an M.B.A. and ultimately his Ph.D.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. His professional career as professor, included teaching at Texas Christian University, The University of Texas, Louisiana State University, University of North Texas and as an exchange professor, University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China.
He married Lu Clay Allen in 1945 and she preceded him in death in 1993.
In 2007, he received, in addition to many other accolades, the lifetime achievement award and was inducted into the 2007 Hall of Honor at C. H. Yoe High School.
He is survived by his son Raymond Lesikar, Jr. of Lakeway; daughter Patricia King of Cedar Park, one grandchild Stephanie Crown and husband Nicholas; and three great grandchildren, Olivia Crown, Gabriel Crown and Sadie Crown.
