Winona Provasek, 92, of Cameron died Sunday, January 31, 2016. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, at Marlow Baptist Church with Bro. Wayne Kirk officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Provasek, a retired junior accountant for the city of Houston, was born Oct. 28, 1923 in Cameron to John Curtis and Velma Ellen (Pugh) Moseley.
She married George D. Ward and he preceded her in death in 1975. In 1986 she married Melvin Provasek.
She was a member of Marlow Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by brother, James Curtis Moseley and a sister, Katherine Ruth Sprayberry. She is survived by her husband Melvin Provasek of Cameron, son George Curtis Ward of College Station, daughter Kimberly Ann Marek of the Meeks Community; stepson Melvin Joe Provasek of Tomball, step daughter Diane Marie Dakil of Dallas, brother John Moseley of Cameron, 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Marlow Baptist Church.
Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
