Holy Week services

Hope Lutheran plans Holy Week services
An invitation is extended to experience a special serving of The Lord’s Supper to remember Jesus’ last meal with his disciples prior to his death. The Maundy Thursday worship will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, at Hope Lutheran Church in Buckholts. A Service of Darkness will focus on Jesus’ death on Good Friday also at 7 p.m. This service is the opposite of a Candlelight worship as the candles are extinguished and the sanctuary is left in darkness signifying the death of Jesus. On Easter Sunday, the resurrection of our Lord, there will be a time for fellowship and snacks prior to worship around 9 a.m. At 10:15 a.m. everyone will enter a dark sanctuary to hear the words that Jesus has risen from the dead. Those who have no church home are especially encouraged to attend these services to experience and worship God’s presence. Following the morning worship an Easter egg hunt symbolizing the resurrection will be held for the children.

CAMA hosting Holy Week luncheons
The Cameron Area Ministers Association will host free Holy Week luncheons at noon Wednesday, March 23, through Friday, March 25, at the First Presbyerian Church Fellowship Hall, 102 E. 4th Street.
