Emil F. Horelica, 82, of Cameron died Monday, March 28, at his home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, at St. Monica’s Catholic Church with Rev. Dimitrij Colankin officiating. Entombment will be in the St. Monica’s Mausoleum.
A rosary will be recited Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Monica’s Catholic Church.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 until 7 p.m. at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron.
Mr. Horelica was born July 19, 1933 in Milam County to Emil J. and Philemena (Bodinsky) Horelica. He retired from the State of Texas.
He married Doris Hungerford Eickenhorst. He was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus and as a younger man served on the Cameron Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife Doris Horelica of Cameron; sons Henry Horelica of Cameron and Garland Horelica of Rockdale; stepsons Robert Eickenhorst and Larry Eickenhorst, both of Cameron; daughter Pat Parker of Cameron; stepdaughters Lucinda Minton of California, Janice Lehmann of Cameron and Rosemary Rhodes of Houston; sister Frances Biskup of Houston; seven grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 10 step great grandchildren.
Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
