Rose Marie Johnson Lindsay

Rose Marie Johnson Lindsay, 84, died on Wednesday, March 23, at Fortress Health & Rehab in College Station.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, March 31, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, College Station.
She was born Sept. 28, 1931 to Rube and Marie Johnson in Cameron. She graduated in 1952 as a registered nurse.
After raising six children she began a new career as a watercolor artist and teacher. Some of her works have been in various museum settings as well as enjoyed in many homes and offices in the Bryan College Station area.
She was an active long time parishioner at St Mary’s Catholic Church in College Station.
Rose Marie is survived by her children Deborah Lindsay, Pamela Lindsay, Kathryn Buys and husband Ron, Bruce Lindsay and wife Melinda, and Gregory Lindsay and wife Mary Jo; grandchildren Kathryn Rose O’Toole (Oliver), Patrick O’Toole, Winfield Sedwick, Lauren Buys (Matt), Collin Buys (Kathleen), Ryan Buys (Amanda), Jordan Buys, Brian Lindsay, Cameron Lindsay, and Megan Lindsay; and four great-grandchildren; siblings Barbara Johnson, John Johnson (Frances), and Louise Duval (Mark).
She is preceded in death by her son Stephen Crawford Lindsay and her brother Ruben Johnson.
In lieu of flowers Rose Marie requested that donations be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 603 Church Ave., College Station, TX 77840.
