Activities on tap this weekend include the annual Thorndale Area Chamber of Commerce Car Show Saturday.

Drug take-back day April 23
Cameron Police will observe 2016 National Drug Take Back Day Saturday, April 23, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the Police Department Lobby. Residents are invited to turn in old, unused, expired prescription and over the counter drugs to CDP for safe descruction. Liquid medications should be placed inside a sealed freezer/sandwich bag. The event is sponsored by CDP and the US Drug Enforcement Agency.

Aggie Moms Scholarship Golf Tournament
The fourth annual Milam County Aggie Mom Scholarship Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, April 23, at the Rockdale Country Club. Two Tee Times available, 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. The event is a four-man scramble with $60 entry fee per player. Annual TACC Car Show Set Saturday
The 2016 Thorndale Area Chamber of Commerce Car Show kicks off early in downtown Thorndale Saturday.
The show includes 20 categories with plaques awarded for each as well as more than $500 in cash prizes.
In addition to dozens of classic cars from many different eras on display, there will be arts, crafts and food booths.
