Gail Davidson

Funeral services for Gail Davidson, 77, of Gause will be held Saturday, July 2, at 10 a.m. in the Kathryn W. Green Chapel of Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron.

Rev. Billy Crow will officiate. Interment will follow in the Pin Oak Cemetery near Gause.

Mr. Davidson passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016, in a Bryan hospital after an illness. 

Mr. Davidson was born Nov. 16,1938, in Hanover, to William J. and Bertha Hughes Davidson. He graduated from Milano High School in 1957, going on to graduate from Southwest Texas State College in San Marcos in 1961. He coached six-man football in Milano, taking the team to two state championships. He was currently the owner and operator of D & G Used Cars in Gause.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Davidson of Gause; three sons, David Davidson of Gause, James Davidson (Sharla) of Vidor, and John Davidson (Carla) of Lufkin; a daughter, Lauranne Wilson (David) of Gause; stepson, Justin Pierce (Donna) of Canyon; brother Carroll Davidson (Joann) of Milano; five sisters-in-law, Frances Price of Cameron, Shirley Fisher of Teague, Jeanne Williams of Cameron, Martha Knenek of Cameron and Faye Davidson of Rockdale.

He is also survived by six grandchildren, Dustin Pierce (Morgan) of Bryan, Jordan Pierce of Gause, Kayla Eubank of Bryan, Rheannon Pierce of Canyon, Chelsey Pierce of Canyon and Mikayla Davidson of Lufkin. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation at the funeral home from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday prior to the service.
