Summer reading program in full swing

Brian Weaks presented a program about music and musical instruments at the Cameron Public Library’s Saturday program last week. The final program of the series is set for 11 a.m. this Saturday, July 23. On July 30, the final awards program will be held.

By Marie Christopher, Library Director We had a wonderful program on Saturday! Brian Weeks furnished the children (and adults) with a wonderful music presentation – trombone, kazoo, box drum, and more. The children all received a gift from Brian – drum sticks or a kazoo. Check out the Cameron Public Library Children’s Program on Facebook for pictures. Our Saturday was very noisy and loads of fun. Thanks, Brian.

The Saturday programs begin at 11 a.m. and usually end about noon or shortly thereafter. There is one more Saturday program on July 23, before our final awards program and party on Saturday, July 30. Be sure to report all books read before Wednesday, July 28. If you can’t make it on time for the official program, we will have all crafts and other things for the children to do at all other times.

Thanks to Theodora Marek, The Bling Box, and Lone Star Books and CDs for their generous contributions to our Children’s Summer Reading Program. We love our community partners!
