Yoemen, Lady Yoe finish third at 20-3A meet

The culmination of long hours put in by the Yoe track teams over the past few months all paid off last week at the 20-3A district track meet in Jarrell.  The Yoemen (108) and Lady Yoe (87) both finished in third place overall.  

Cameron's Davion Bynaum (10.82) won the 100 meter dash over defending state champion Jaquaylin Crawford (10.83) of Rockdale.  Crawford ran a 10.53 at the state meet in 2016. Bynaum also won the 200, while the 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams finished in second place.  In total, Cameron scored points in 16 of the 18 events. 

The varsity girls saw Birittney Moorer capture the district championship in the pole vault, while the 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams of Ashanti Brooks, Ahslee Balch, Destiny Anderson and Za'kara Bryson each captured gold and 40 of the Lady Yoe's 87 total points.  The JV girls (126) coasted to a district championship with a 39 point lead over second place Rockdale.
