Baseball Camp

The Yoemen baseball camp will take place on May 30 and May 31 and will be open to all incoming third through ninth graders.  The camp will take place at The Yards of Cameron from 9am to 12pm each day and the cost is $40 per camper.  If you register before May 23, you will receive a 2017 camp t-shirt.  You may register at The Yards on the first day of camp.  Each player needs to bring a glove, cleats and a bat.  All other equipment will be provided.  Please makes checks payable to John Broussard.  

 

Softball Camp

The Lady Yoe softball camp will take place on May 30 and May 31 and will be available for all incoming third through ninth graders.  The camp will take place at Mark Humble Field from 1:30 pm until 4:30 pm and the cost is $40 per camper.  If you register by Friday, May 19, you will receive a camp t-shirt.  Campers needs to bring softball pants, t-shirt, softball socks, cleats/tennis shoes, glove and a bat.  Please make checks payable to Abraham Vargas.  

 

Boys Basketball Camp

The Yoemen basketball camp will take place on Tuesday, May 30 and Thursday, June 1, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Yoe High Gym.  The camp is for all incoming third through ninth graders and the cost will be $30 per camper.  If you register by May 26, you will receive a free camp t-shirt.  Pre-registered forms can be turned in to Mrs. Beckhusen at Cameron Elementary or Coach Huase at Cameron Junior High.  Please make checks payable to Lance Hause.  

 

Lady Yoe Basketball Camp

The Lady Yoe basketball camp will take place on Tuesday, May 30 and Thursday, June 1, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm from the Yoe High Gym.  The camp is for all incoming fifth through ninth grades and the cost is $30 per camper.  You may register after May 23, but you will not be guaranteed a camp t-shirt.  Pre-registration forms can be turned into Mrs. Beckhusen at Cameron Elementary, Coach Hause at Cameron Junior High, or Coach Cunningham at Yoe High School.  Please make checks payable to Corey Cunningham.  

 

Westbrook drafted by Jacksonville

Former Cameron Yoe star receiver Dede Westbrook will soon be joining the NFL ranks.  Westbrook was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars as the third pick in the fourth round of the NFL draft on Saturday.  Westbrook's frame and 4.34 speed appear to be a logical fit for a slot position within a pro system.  Jacksonville ranked 20th in the NFL last season with 3,925 passing yards or 245.3 yards per game.  The former Sooner star caught 80 passes for 1,524 yards and 17 touchdowns in his senior season in Norman.  Other Jaguar receivers include Allen Robinson, Allen Hurts, Rashard Greene, Marqise Lee, Tony Washington and Bryan Walters.  Blake Bortles is the quarterback for Jacksonville, which finished 2016 with a 3-13 mark and fourth place finish in the AFC South.  The Jaguars open the 2017 schedule at Houston on September 10.
