Sharon Fay Cantwell Gonzales

Sharon Fay Cantwell Gonzales, 49, of Rockdale died Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at her home. 

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 13, at the Davilla Baptist Church with Rev. David Cox and Bill Harris officiating. Burial followed in the Davilla Cemetery.  Visitation was held Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Gonzales, a homemaker, was born Sept. 17, 1967, in Austin to Bill and Myrtle (Smith) Cantwell.  She married Frank Gonzales in 2016.

She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Crispin Gonzales; and a sister, Elizabeth Ireland. 

She is survived by: her husband, Frank Gonzales of Rockdale; sons, Ernesto Gonzales of Rockport, Crispin Gonzales of Rockdale, and Aron Gonzales of Rockdale; step-sons, Rudy Gonzales of Rockdale and Gilbert Gonzales of Austin; brothers, Bill Cantwell of Thorndale and Marvin Cantwell of Thorndale; sisters, Shirley Smith of Austin, Ruby Balusek of Leander, Dorothy Jean Denton of Rockdale, and Thelma Birch of Davilla; and eight grandchildren.

Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
