Cameron residents warned of car burglars

Cameron residents are reminded to keep valuables out of site and lock their vehicles following a rash of car burglaries this week.
According to the Cameron Police Department, on Aug. 14 they began receiving reports of numerous burglary of motor vehicle calls that occurred in the overnight hours between Aug. 13 and Aug. 14.
The unknown suspects in this case found open vehicles and began taking items from those vehicles. The crimes have all occurred primarily on the east side of the city.
Cameron police are reminding citizens to keep valuables out of view while in their vehicles, also citizens should lock their vehicles at all times, and to be vigilant for any suspicious activity and report it immediately to Cameron police.
