Lady Yoe volleyball drops two on the road

The Cameron Lady Yoe had a rough go of it in their past two matches, falling to Academy (3-0) and Rockdale (3-0) on the road while not taking a set. Cameron now sits at 1-6 in 20-3A entering the final game of the first round of district. That match will take place on Friday when Cameron travels to Lexington for a 4:30 p.m. start.

Junior High Volleyball Results

Jarrell: 7B: L 23-25 and 25-15, 8B: W 13-25 25-17 15-13, 7A: L 21-25 25-20, 8A: L 21-25 26-24.

 

The 7th A team lost their first district match of the year and second game overall. All teams will be in action on Monday, October 2 when Academy travels to Cameron.

 

Cross Country at Rogers

With multiple runners returning late from the long trip to Bay City this last week, Yoe head cross country coach Dale Keen made the decision to hold a majority of his team out from the Rogers meet on Saturday.

The Junior High boys were the lone squad to compete as a team, finishing in 12th out of 15, beating out Georgetown Gateway B, Bonham B, and Academy B. Cameron will host their own invitational this Saturday morning beside the track. Running will begin at 8:00 a.m.

 

Yoe Twirler headed to state

A Yoe High twirler will be heading to state. Katy Krenek represented C.H. Yoe High School at the regional twirling contest at Fairfield, earning a 1, the best rating achievable. Krenek will now prepare for the state twirling contest, which will be held in June from Hendrickson High School in Pflugerville.
