Thorndale ISD sets community meetings

Thorndale Independent School District’s community facilities team will hold two community meetings on Jan. 25 at 6:30 p.m. in the TISD Board Room and Jan. 31 at 6:30 p.m. in the Thorndale Vocational Ag Building.

The team has been meeting regularly to consider community feedback to the recent bond election along with assessing the needs for the future.

“They have worked hard to incorporate that feedback into a potential plan to address the district’s facility needs,” TISD Superintendent Adam Ivy said. “They began with safety and security in mind and then used feedback from multiple sources to fine tune the plan. The team along with your school board would like to give our community a chance to see the pieces of this plan before making a decision on how to proceed with a potential building project.”

Ivy said the team will share the details and give the community a chance to ask questions and give feedback during the meetings.

“We truly want and need this feedback to develop a plan that is good for our kids and agreeable to our voters,” Ivy said.
