TxDOT closure expected on FM 908

Beginning Monday, Feb. 5, weather permitting; the Texas Department of Transportation’s contractor will close FM 908 at the intersection of Roberts Avenue.

This closure will allow the contractor to replace a culvert on FM 908. A signed detour will be in place to guide the traveling public to use US 79 and US 77.  The duration of this closure will be five days.

TxDOT would like to remind everyone to obey all warning signs, watch for workers and equipment, buckle up and drive safely.

This is part of a $1.4 million dollar project to reconstruct the existing roadway and upgrade structures on FM 908 from US 79 to US 77.  This project is contracted to Cornerstone Paving and Construction, L.L.C. out of Brenham, Texas and is expected to be completed in the summer of 2018.  TxDOT and their contractor would like to thank everyone for their patience.
