Arthur Mary Lewis

Arthur Mary Lewis, 64, of Cameron died Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at her home. 

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10, at True Love Worship Center.  Burial will follow in the Cameron Rest Cemetery. Wake services will be at 6 p.m. Friday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home.

Ms. Lewis was born Sept. 13, 1953, in Cameron to Mack Harvey Lewis Sr. and Verna Lee Lewis. She attended O. J. Thomas High School. Ms. Lewis was baptized at an early age. She first attended church at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church and later became a faithful member of True Love Family Worship Center where she had served as the Singles Ministry Leader and then as the Women’s Ministry Leader.  She had worked as a CNA for many years and for Ambassadors of We Care Home Health.  She also ran a home day care. 

She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Dewayne Lewis; by a brother, Frederick Lewis; and by two sisters, Frances Kennard and Betty Cavil. 

She is survived by: sons, Frazier Lewis of Cameron and Derrick Lewis of Cameron; daughters, Stephanie Lewis of Cameron, Stacy Lewis of Cameron, and Kayla Lewis of Cameron; brothers, Mack Harvey Lewis Jr of Albuquerque, N.M., Steve Lewis of Missouri City, and Samuel Lewis Sylvia of Corpus Christi; sisters          Patsy Selby of Accomac, Va., Velma Moss of Houston, Virginia Lewis of Cameron, and Vanessa Lewis of Houston; and she loved her 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
