Dennis Kleppe Jr.

Dennis Kleppe Jr., 54, of Thorndale, passed away Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018. 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at the Hill Country Bible Church in Hutto with Bobby Pruitt of Hutto Bible Church officiating.  Cremation to follow services. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

Dennis was born Aug. 18, 1963, in Davenport, Iowam to Dennis Kleppe Sr. and Karen (Cawiezell) Kleppe. He married Angela Dianna Bridges on Oct. 8, 1988, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Austin. In 2012 he began to reach he and Angela’s dreams when they purchased their farmland just outside Thorndale. For the past three years, Dennis was the Facility Consultant Program Manager for the Texas Association of School Boards.  Prior to that he worked as a Public Works Inspector for the City of Taylor.  Dennis was a member of Hutto Bible Church, a former Scoutmaster with The Boy Scouts of America, and was a mentor to many.

He is preceded in death by his son, Travis Stock Kleppe; and mother, Karen Cawiezell Kleppe.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 29 years, Angela Kleppe of Thorndale; sons, Dennis Kleppe III and Tyler Kleppe, both of Thorndale; father, Dennis Kleppe Sr. of Decatur, Ill.; sister, DiAnn Kleppe of Bennett, Iowa; as well as many extended family members and friends.
