Earnest Renold Clifton

Earnest Renold Clifton, 58, of Cameron died Monday, Aug. 20, 2018, at his home.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25, at the North Orchard St. Church of Christ in Cameron. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Cameron. Wake services will be held Friday, Aug. 24, from 6-8 p.m. at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home.

Mr. Clifton was a retired Minister of the Temple Crestview Church of Christ and had been very active in Jail Ministries. He was born April 30, 1960, in Cameron to George W. Clifton Jr. and Earnestine Riggins Clifton. He married Brenda Kay Spells. 

Earnest is survived by his wife, Brenda Clifton of Cameron; sons, Denzel Clifton of Cameron, Kassum Wesley of Killeen, Don Juan Spells of Temple, Barry Garrett Jr. of Cameron, Verdell Wells of Cameron, Joshua Lewis of San Angelo, and Justin Lewis of San Angelo; and seven grandchildren.

Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
