Shirley Ann Rinn

Shirley Ann Rinn, 83, of Cameron, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, in a Cameron nursing facility. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron.

Mrs. Rinn, a homemaker was born Sept. 16, 1935, in Houston to Bill and Theresa Sandoski. She was raise in the Catholic Church. She loved her family dearly and loved to cook for family gatherings and was always a gracious hostess.  She took great pride in her beautiful garden and lovely home. She loved to travel. Some of her favorite places were San Francisco where she saw Phantom of the Opera and Martha’s Vinyard. Lighthouses and covered bridges were very special places to her. She married Henry Dell Rinn and he preceded her in death. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Betty Jo Twardowski.  She is survived by: children Joni Shoemaker of Magnolia, Bobby DuBois and wife Hope of Broaddus, and Teri Hanrahan and husband Tom of Teague; daughter-in-law, Renae Dart and husband Chuck of Yoakum; special friends,        Shirley and Tom Gilroth of Houston and Betty McDonald of Cameron; 10 grandchildren, Michelle Dawson of Teague, Patrice Dunn of Teague, Jeff DuBois and wife Arin of Robinson, Kenny Shoemaker of Cameron, Asa Hanrahan and wife Heather of Houston, General J Patten of Broaddus, Kristin McCarrel and husband Jamie of Amarillo, Lindsey Love and husband Dustin of Georgetown, Paige Rinn of Harker Heights, and Alyss Wilkes of Amarillo; 14 great-grandchildren, Christen Hensen, Dylan Olivarez, Garret Dawson, August Hanrahan, Hadley Hanrahan, Dalton Love, Dantez Love, Gqendolyn Cupp, Lincoln McCarrell, Gabrelle Love, Ivy McCarrell, Jesse Wilkes, Jaydon Love, and Josie Wilkes; and one great-great-grandchild, Mia Rose Olivarez.
