Martha Rhea Patterson

Martha Rhea Patterson, 74, of Cameron died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018, at her home.  Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018, at Cameron Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Leslie Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation and viewing will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Patterson, a homemaker, was born March 28, 1944, in Cameron to Shirley Spells and Annie Lee Young Spells. She graduated from O. J. Thomas High School. She married Jerry Patterson Sr. on Sept. 18, 1963. She had worked for many years in the Cameron ISD. 

She is survived by: her husband of 55 years, Jerry Patterson of Cameron; daughters, Dinah Anderson of Katy, Regina Waters of Houston, and Sharon Patterson of Houston; son, Jerry Patterson Jr. of Cameron; brothers, Solomon Douglas Spells of Fort Worth, Aaron Spells of Cameron, and Thomas Edward Spells of Cameron; and six grandchildren.

Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
