Dennis Dewayne Pelzel

Funeral services for Dennis Dewayne Pelzel, 62, of Burlington, will be held Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, at 11 a.m. at the Kathryn W. Green Chapel of Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron, with Rev. Robert Glenn officiating. Mr. Pelzel passed away Saturday, Dec. 29, at his residence. Burial will follow in the Ben Arnold Cemetery.

Dennis was born Aug. 28, 1956, in Cameron to Ervin and Dixie (Lewis) Pelzel. He graduated from Yoe High School in 1975, where he achieved the Lone Star Degree in FFA, which is the highest degree possible in FFA. He worked for TxDOT and was also a farmer.

Survivors include: son, Jason Pelzel of Missouri; daughter, Denise Pelzel of San Diego, Calif.; and sister, Karen Zabcik and husband Larry of Austin. He is also survived by one daughter, Hannah Pelzel, who he raised, of Cameron.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation for the family will be held Wednesday, Jan. 2, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
