Walter E. Odstrcil, 74, of Cameron, died Thursday, March 14, 2019, in Galveston.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Odstrcil, a retired self-employed mechanic, was born July 9, 1944, in Caldwell to Walter Emil and Annie (Mikeska) Odstrcil. He graduated from Caldwell High School. He was preceded in death by his wife Nell in 2015; by a son, Clyde Pinkerton Jr.; and by a brother, Charles Allen Odstrcil.

He is survived by: daughters, Shirley Rinn, Rhonda Gelner, Jackie Junek, Patricia Bitner and Lisa Malone; son, Mark Pinkerton; brothers, David Joe Campise, Oscar Campise, Paul Wayne Campise; sisters, Winifred Surovik, Grace Kramer, and Mary Webb; 11 grandchildren, Kenny Schneebeli, Crystal Nelson, Sara Elliott, Emily Pinkerton, Clayton Junek, Thomas Rinn, John Rinn, Jennifer Gelner, Michael Gelner, William Gelner and Corbin Pinkerton; and five great-grandchildren, Jace Nelson, Katie Elliott, Allison Elliott, David Schneebeli and Anderson Gelner.

Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
