Lillie Zajicek

Lillie Zajicek, 98, of Copperas Cove and formerly of Buckholts, died Thursday, April 21, in a Copperas Cove assisted living facility.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. Gary Kleypas officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hope Lutheran Memorial Park in Buckholts. 
Visitation will be Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Zajieck was born Feb. 8, 1918 in Ben Arnold to Emil and Olga Roesler. She married Joe Zajicek on Sept. 19, 1936 and he preceded her in death in 2007. 
She and her husband owned and operated several businesses in the Buckholts area for many years. She had also worked for Montgomery Wards for many years.
She was also preceded in death by her brother Walter Roesler and daughter-in-law, Bennie Marie.
She is survived by sons Joe Dean Zajicek and wife Bernice of Waco, Walter Zajicek of Bryan; and Jackie Zajicek and wife Suszanne of Copperas Cove; and grandchildren David Zajicek and wife Leah, Gregory Zajicek and wife Lorraine, Gene Zajicek and wife Jana, and Tracy Allen; nine great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
