Estella Mae Williams Toliver Miles

Estella Mae Williams Toliver Miles, 83, of Cameron, died April 22 in Cameron.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 30, at Greater Jerusalem Baptist Church in Cameron with Rev. Rufus Glenn, pastor; Rev. Earnest Taylor, officiant; and Rev. Charles Daniels, eulogist. She was laid to rest in the Branchville Cemetery.

Estella was bon Nov. 15, 1932 to Nathaniel Williams and Cornelia Hart Beal in Robertson County, Calvert. She departed her life, April 22,2016.

Estella spent her childhood life in Calvert. She later moved to Branchville and then to Cameron, where she resided until death. 

Estella went to school in Calvert. While living in Calvert, she met and married Robert Lee Toliver in 1954. To this union, three children were born.

Estella accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Little River Baptist Church. She later joined Jerusalem Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member serving on the Usher Board, and Kitchen Committee until death. Estella was also a member of FHA Cameron Chapter.

Estella worked in Food Service at the Texan and Ponderosa Restaurants. She was employed at Texas A&M University for 18 years before retiring. She later went back to work doing Home Healthcare until her health failed.

Estella is preceded in death by her father, Nathaniel Williams and mother, Cornelius Beal; a loving husband, Austin Miles, Jr., and four children, Katheryn Rosemond, Lee Rosemond, James Rosemond, and Robert Lee Williams (Ole’ Folks).

To cherish her memory, Estella leaves behind five children: Ruby Lattimore of Cameron, Texas, Doris Burley (Jerry) of Fort Worth, Texas, Lee Marvin Toliver (Helen) of Rosebud, Texas, Barbara Toliver Harvey (Lonnie) of Temple, Texas, and Stella Louise Toliver of Killeen, Texas; one brother, Willie Williams of Waco, Texas; 23 grandchildren, and 37 great-grandchildren, and a lifetime very special friend, Doris Stidom and best friend, Alma Bigalow and a host of relatives and friends.
