Lillie Faye Cummins

Lillie Faye Cummins, 82, of Caldwell, departed from this world to be with the Lord on Friday, Sept. 30, 2016. 

Visitation will be held at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home on Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m on Thursday, Oct. 6, in the First Baptist Church of Caldwell. Brother Steve Johnson will preside over services. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale.

Lillie Faye Winkler was born in Bryan on Oct. 7, 1933, to her parents Jeff and Lillie Mae (Davenport) Winkler. Lillie married the love of her life Barry Max Cummins Jr. on June 18, 1955, and with this union they had three loving children. She was a loving mother who enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Lillie loved to watch her Cowboy’s play football and would cheer for her team through the TV. She always had a beautiful garden of flowers, taking time to smell her roses.Lillie was also a very talented seamstress. Her favorite thing was sitting down with a bowl of Blue Bell homemade vanilla ice cream covered in Hershey’s chocolate syrup, yum.

Lillie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Barry Max Cummins Jr.; both of her parents, Jeff and Lillie Mae Winkler; one brother; and three sisters.

She is survived by her children, Michael Cummins and wife Irene, Larry Cummins and wife Toni, and Diane Ayers and husband Craig; seven grandchildren, Cody Cummins, Joshua Cummins, Craig Ayers, Jr., Marcus Ayers, Ashley Varnadore, Ryan Varnadore, and Jason Holder; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Ray Cummins, Peighton Cummins, Jocelynn Cummins, Lilly Grace Ayers, Lylah Faith Ayers, Leah Hope Ayers, Kenzie Sanders, Harley Boatwright, and Rayna Boatwright.

Pallbearers are her grandsons, Cody Cummins, Joshua Cummins, Craig Ayers, Jr., Marcus Ayers, and Jason Holder.
