Ernest Frank Fuchs III, 88, of Hillsboro passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Town Hall Estates in Hillsboro.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Christ Lutheran Church in Hillsboro with Rev. Michael Nemec officiating. Burial will follow at Hope Lutheran Memorial Park in Buckholts. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 10, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.
Ernest was born June 24, 1928, in Buckholts to Ernest and Anna (Svetlik) Fuchs. A graduate of Buckholts High School, Ernest was the Justice of The Peace in Robertson County before he moved to Hillsboro. On Nov. 20, 1949, he was united in marriage to Doris Marie (Finney) Fuchs and she preceded him in death on Dec. 8, 2015. Later in 1972, he started his career with the Hillsboro Independent High School as a Maintenance Supervisor and retired from there after faithfully serving over 35 years.
Along with his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his two sons, Ernie and Gary Fuchs; one grandson, Brandon Fuchs; and brother, Denson Fuchs.
Survivors include his sons, Ronny and wife Dana Fuchs of Hillsboro, Larry and wife Pam Fuchs of Hillsboro; daughter-in-law, Terry Fuchs of Hillsboro; brother, Dwight and wife Pat Fuchs of Georgetown; sister, Marian and husband Melton Wright of Richmond; grandchildren, Jason and wife Sara Fuchs of Rogers, April and husband Matt Mayo of Houston, Kristin and husband Stephen Schiller of Temple, Bryan and wife Sydney Fuchs of San Antonio, Trevor Fuchs and Amy of Hillsboro, and Anna Fuchs of Hillsboro; great-grandchildren, Madeline, Lucas, Caleb, and Eli Fuchs, Celeste and Vivian Mayo, Kendall and Kinsley Schiller, Xavier Fuchs, Gage Fuchs, and Trayse Sequra; and several nieces and nephews.
