William Quintero Sr.

William Quintero Sr., 73, a devoted Jehovah's Witness of Cameron passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, in a Temple hospital.

"Willie" as he was affectionately known, a loving, caring, thoughtful dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and a wonderful personable friend was born June 5, 1944 in Rogers to Ramon and Soledad (Molina) Quintero.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Julia in 2007, and oldest daughter Laura Seiler in 2016.

Willie is survived by his son, Willie Quintero Jr. of Harker Heights; his daughters, Shirley Ponce of Cameron, Marla Torres of Houston, and Alisa Jimenez of Temple; his brothers, Jimmy Quintero and Tommy Quintero of

Austin, and Reuben Quintero and Salvador Quintero of Rogers; and his sisters, Sophia Garza and Josie Vargas of Rogers. Willie leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly.

Willie was employed with Palousek Overhead Doors in Temple for many years and previously worked at Capital Steel, where he had made an impression and developed many friends.

Willie was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses at The Assembly Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Rosenberg, where he started his walk of faith with Jehovah God. Willie was a fine example of faith and loyalty to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be truly missed and positively be in our hearts forever!
