Rebeca G. Rangel

Mrs. Rebeca G. Rangel, 80, of Cameron, passed away Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, in a Cameron nursing facility. 

Mass will be held for Mrs. Rangel on Wednesday, Aug. 29, at 10 a.m. at St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Cameron with Fr. Dimitri Colankin officiating.  Burial is to follow in Hernandez Cemetery. Rosary will be said Tuesday, Aug. 28, at 7 p.m. at Green-Patterson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rangel was born April 11, 1938, in Sonora, to Filiberto and Carmen (Castaneda) Gonzales. She was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include: husband, Matilde Rangel Sr. of Cameron; sons, Armando Rangel and wife Emma of Edinburgh, Matilde Rangel Jr. of Temple, and Ramiro Rangel of Cameron; daughters, Sylvia Molina of Cameron, Rosa Contreras and husband Ralph of Cameron, Sophia Rangel and husband Daniel of Cameron, Teresa Rodriguez and husband Anselmo of Wheelock, Yolanda Vela and husband Mario of Cameron, Stella Alvarado of Indianapolis, Ind., Beatrice Rangel and husband Wilmer of Cameron, Imelda Rangel and husband Mario of Temple and Gloria Rangel of Cameron; brothers, Filiberto and Edward Gonzalez from Bridgeport, and Emilio and Manuel Gonzalez of Plainview.

She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
