Carrol Hugh “Buddy” Fuson

Mr. Carrol Hugh “Buddy” Fuson, 80, of Cameron passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at his residence.

Graveside services will be held Friday, April 20, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cameron, with Wayne Vincent officiating.

Buddy was born March 7, 1938, in Cameron to James and Cordie (Goodwin) Fuson. He served his country in the United States Navy. He was an electrician. He was a member of the Baptist church.

Survivors include: wife, Audrey L. Fuson of Cameron; son, C.H. “Butch” Fuson Jr. of Cameron; and daughters, Joy Toll of Tennessee and Jeanine “Tootee” Fuson of California. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for the family will be held Thursday, April 19, from 5-7 p.m. at Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron.

Frances M. (Neuman) Ballew

Frances M. (Neuman) Ballew formerly of Cameron, passed away April 13, 2018, in San Antonio.

Frances was born Jan. 8, 1947, to Will and Linda (Reineke) Neuman in Cameron. In the summer of 1962, she was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  She married Ted Ballew on July 30, 1966.  

Over 51 years of marriage, Frances was a loving wife to Ted, expressing respect and thoughtfulness daily.  Additionally, she was a loving mother, grandmother (Nana), and friend to many.  She enjoyed sharing Bible truths with others as an expression of her faith.  She was known for her kindness, empathy, and consideration, and was always ready with a listening ear.  She was treasured by all those that knew her.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Linda Neuman.

Bobby Wayne Yates

Bobby Wayne Yates, 71, of Cameron, died Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at his home.  Memorial services were held Monday, April 16, at Grace Church in Cameron.

Mr. Yates, retired Lieutenant for Lee County Sheriff’s department, was born Aug. 29, 1946, in Baytown to George Wesley and Mary (Gray) Yates. He married Lonnie Lynn on Dec. 9, 2011, and was a member of Grace Church. 

His sister Joyce Yates preceded him in death. 

He is survived by: wife, Lonnie Lynn Yates of Cameron; daughter, Monica Steele of Katy; stepsons, Charles Goolsby of Denton and Michael Truman of Portsmouth, Va.; brother, Wesley Yates of Quitman; sisters, twin sister Betty Wenzel of Cameron and Susie Baskin of Baytown; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to Grace Church, P.O. Box 445, Cameron, Texas 76520.

Adam James Wright Mose Price

Adam James Wright Mose Price, age 38, of Cameron, passed away on March 27, 2018, from injuries sustained in a fire at his residence.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 14, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Cameron with Rev. Carl Hudson officiating.

He was born on Nov. 3, 1979, to Douglas Wright Price and the late Donna Sue McCall. He attended C. H. Yoe High School where he graduated with honors alongside the class of 1998. During high school he participated in football, Ag and NHS. In his younger years, he played drums in the band, Pee Wee football and was an avid T-ball and baseball player.

Luana Leigh Linville

Luana Leigh Linville, 60, of Caldwell and formerly of Cameron, died Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at her home. 

Private family services will be at a later date.

Luana was born March 5, 1958, in Cameron to Kenneth Loren Griffin and Iris Anita Brasher. She had worked as a waitress. 

She was preceded in death by a son, Darren Wheeler. 

Survivors include: sons, John Stanley of Salado and David Linville of Abilene; daughters, Cristy Miles of Taylor, Iris Linville and fiancé  Ghanem Akshar of Caldwell, and Ashley Pratt of Houston; brothers, Jimmy Baker of Rockdale and Patrick Savage of Alvin; sister, Babette Linton of Maine; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Annie Laura Junek

Annie Laura Junek, 96, of Cameron died Sunday, April 8, 2018, in a Cameron nursing and rehab center. 

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. Mark McAdams officiating. Burial will follow in the Corinth Cemetery in Buckholts. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Junek was born, March 12, 1922, in Milam County to John W. and Carrie Lee (Finch) Beale. She married Walter Junek on Sept. 9, 1940, and he preceded her in death in 2009. She had worked at Royal Seating for over 16 years and on the home farm. She was a member at Battetown Baptist Church. 

She was also preceded in death by a daughter Wanda “Sissy” Junek in 2009.

Sylvia Wetherill Titsworth

Sylvia Wetherill Titsworth, 89, of Cameron died Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at her home. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Titsworth, a homemaker and ranch manager, was born April 24, 1928, in San Diego, Calif., to William Wetherill and Sylvia Bertha (Seradino) Love. She married Cornelius (Bo) Titsworth on June 21, 1947, and he preceded her in death in 1993. A born again Christian, Mrs. Titsworth was a member of the New Beginnings Full Gospel Tabernacle. 

A son, Jimmy Eugene Titsworth also preceded her in death in 2007.

Rosana Marie Pursche

Rosana Marie Pursche, infant daughter of Codey and Emily Pursche, died Sunday, March 25, in a Temple hospital.

Services were held Monday, April 2, at the Marek-Burns-Laywell Chapel. Burial was in the Hope Lutheran Memorial Park in Buckholts.

She is survived by: parents, Cody and Emily Pursche of Cameron; brother, Ryder Pursche of Cameron; sister, Laura Pursche of Cameron; grandmother, Debbie Williams of Rogers; and great-grandmother, Dorothy Nerren of Spring.

Eileen Richter Patschke

Eileen Richter Patschke, age 82, of Thorndale, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018. She was born March 8, 1936, in The Grove, Texas, to Hulda Dutschmann Richter and Rudolf Richter.

Eileen was baptized on March 22, 1936, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in The Grove and confirmed on April 2, 1950, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Temple.

She married Edward Patschke at Zion Lutheran Church in Walburg. They were married for 60 years before his passing in 2016. From that marriage she was blessed with two children; Glen Ray and Deborah Kay.

Sidonia Rose Mikulec

Sidonia Rose Mikulec, 86, of Cameron, died Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at her home.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2018, at St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Cameron with Rev. Dimitrij Colankin officiating. Entombment will be in the St. Monica’s Mausoleum. Rosary and vigil will be at 6 p.m. Sunday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with visitation until 8 p.m. to follow.

Mrs. Mikulec was born April 9, 1931, in Milam County to Fabian and Rose Lazek.  She married Innocent Julius (Zinc) Mikulec and together they ran and operated Zinc’s Food Mart in Cameron. He preceded her in death in 2005. She was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church and she was also preceded in death by two sons, David Mikulec and Donald “Donnie” Mikulec. 

She is survived by: sons, Ronnie Mikulec of Cameron and Thomas Mikulec of Temple; daughter, Rosaleen Vaculin of Lewisville; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
